HLW announces London leadership changes

Global architecture and design firm HLW has announced changes to its London Management Team to support growth across the UK and Europe. These leadership changes come off the back of significant new business wins and reflect the firm’s ambitious plans.

Bronte Turner has been promoted to a new global role in the HLW Leadership Team. While remaining actively involved with the clients, team, and projects in London, Bronte will now have global oversight of the Speciality Studios, which include Strategy & Discovery, Sustainability, Lighting, and Branding. She will continue to be based in London.

Pendrick Brown has been promoted to Managing Director of the London office. Already a Principal in the firm, Pendrick will be responsible for business development, project delivery, and talent management – collaborating closely with Bronte and office leaders across HLW to achieve the firm’s strategic goals.

Pendrick joined HLW in 2020, having previously worked in construction and project management. This experience means he has exemplary local knowledge, industry insight, and technical expertise, which he will bring to bear on HLW’s impressive pipeline of projects across the tech, legal, and financial sectors.

Pendrick Brown, Managing Director at HLW, said: “It goes without saying that I’m thrilled to be promoted to Managing Director of HLW’s London office. HLW has a long and illustrious history, and I’m privileged to be able to play my part in its future. Working closely with Bronte and our brilliant and diverse team of design-led creatives, strategists, and technical architects, I’m committed to driving the firm forward for the benefit of both our staff and clients.”

Bronte Turner, Principal at HLW, said: “HLW is committed to its growth across Europe and the ongoing success of our London office is central to the overarching business strategy. Pendrick’s promotion is key to us realising our ambitions and helping clients to achieve theirs through an unwavering focus on design excellence and commercial resilience. At the same time, I’m excited to be part of the HLW Leadership team, remaining actively involved here in London while focused on HLW’s growth with a more global outlook.”

Recent projects from HLW London include the new headquarters of leading companies in the law and finance world including Julius Baer, Winston and Strawn, and Lewis Silkin, plus HLW’s significant international portfolio of tech clients such as Google and Spotify.
