New issue of Works magazine focuses on sustainable office design

As you’ll see as you make your way through this new issue of Works magazine, we’ve spent even more time than usual discussing and learning about sustainable office designAs you’ll see as you make your way through this new issue of Works magazine, we’ve spent even more time than usual discussing and learning about sustainable office design – and in particular how the interiors industry is determined to keep sustainable products, business practices and processes at the forefront of our thinking.

We were privileged to join Hunters for their inaugural sustainability forum, we met up with the brilliant Sustainable Design Collective to discover their latest initiatives and, of course, we once again hosted Sustainability Works at the recent Workspace Design Show.

We were able to bring together some of the finest minds around to discuss a variety of sustainability-themed issues, ranging from digital footprints and perfect imperfections in design through to how we should be approaching biophilia as part of sustainable office design and what we should be planting to make our surroundings more attractive, floral and even tasty!

Our sincere thanks go to everyone who gave their valuable time and expertise at each of these events, and also to everyone who came along to listen, learn and be a part of what a couple of my friends casually refer to as ‘Green Day’.

We love hearing from the knowledgeable and forward-thinking members of the design fraternity, and equally innovative end user clients – and it was especially great to hear from specialists in their (green) field, such as Square Mile Farms’ Patrick Dumas. Great guests with great initiative – we learnt a lot. Every day is a school day – especially Green Day!
