Looking forward to a whale of a time at Clerkenwell Design Week

To celebrate this rich and diverse community, Clerkenwell Design Week will showcase the borough’s creative residents, alongside visiting brands and emerging design talentAs the majority of you will know, Clerkenwell is home to more creative businesses and architects per square mile than anywhere else on the planet, making it truly one of the most important design hubs in the world. And, for three days each May, it truly feels like it. To celebrate this rich and diverse community, Clerkenwell Design Week will showcase the borough’s creative residents, alongside visiting brands and emerging design talent. And we have a special show preview to help you get the best from it.

Featuring 600+ showroom events, 11+ curated exhibitions, installations, seminars and talks, design destinations, a fringe programme, food and drink partners, CDW is undoubtedly one of the most eagerly anticipated industry events in the calendar.

In fact, the only people we can think of who don’t look forward to CDW are the poor local bar staff run ragged by the hordes of thirsty visitors and the beleaguered delivery drivers attempting to navigate the traffic around the early evening carnival that is Great Sutton Street. There’s got to be a drinking and driving pun in there somewhere!

Well, we’re certainly looking forward to it – and we’re looking forward to catching up with you on the mean streets of EC1.

The organisers say this year’s edition promises to be the most expansive yet, boasting a record number of exhibitors, brands, showrooms, and captivating installations. From established names to rising stars, CDW offers a platform for groundbreaking design that pushes boundaries and celebrates the power of creativity.

CDW offers a unique opportunity for design enthusiasts, architects, and industry professionals to discover the latest trends, network with leading figures, and celebrate the power of creativity.
With its commitment to sustainability, emerging talent, and fostering a global design dialogue, Clerkenwell Design Week 2024 promises to be an inspiring and unforgettable event. There’s nowhere else quite like it.

The preview is taken from the upcoming issue of Works Magazine.
