Announcing a new publication: Sustainability Works
We are launching a new publication, Sustainability Works. With the first issue scheduled for August 2026, the new title will incorporate thought provoking articles, features and news stories embracing a truly sustainable approach to people and planet. Edited by Joanna Knight, Sustainability Works will be published in partnership with the Sustainable Design Collective. As co-founder of SDC and a Fellow of the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals, Joanna has many years’ experience in the workplace interiors and furniture sectors. In 2001, she was a founder director of a company which led the field in environmental responsibility and lifecycle management of Furniture, Fittings and Equipment and since that time has championed the importance of greater sustainability.
The launch of Sustainability Works reflects the strategic importance of this multi-disciplined subject. Sustainability has evolved beyond an ethical choice to a comprehensive framework to minimise negative impacts and create long-term social, environmental, and economic value.
“The launch of Sustainability Works represents an exciting opportunity,” says Joanna Knight. “Endorsed by the established authority of Works magazine, the new title will offer a dedicated platform to showcase the latest developments and discuss key issues. The collaboration with the Sustainable Design Collective adds greater authenticity and supports the group’s mission to promote knowledge sharing and learning throughout the workplace design community.”
Sustainability Works will feature interviews, news, features, case studies and commentary on a wide range of issues related to sustainable design for the built environment. Aimed at experienced and informed industry professionals it will be knowledgeable, challenging and exciting. It will address one of the most widely discussed design issues of our time with a new voice. And its content will be curated and informed. We will never talk about sustainable or circular design in the same way ever again.
